Established in Toulon in 1686, the year Nicolas Barré died, the Infant Jesus Sisters have ended their mission there. A time of departure and uprooting for the Province of France, which is turning a page of 300 years of joys, sorrows and sowing of this southern land by its Sisters.
Despite the sadness, the community gave thanks on October 1, 2022 for this long history lived in Toulon, during a ceremony celebrated by Mgr Rey, bishop of the diocese, who extended his final blessing to the whole Institute.
Keep in our hearts the words of Nicolas Barré: "They are to live in total abandonment for whatever concerns the future".
