On 27th and 28th February 2022, lay people and sisters, coming from six European countries, met in Paris in equal numbers and as sharers in the same heritage. The lay people reported from various groups a great variety of ways of belonging.
A whole spectrum of membership is emerging, depending on the history, the connection with the sisters works or communities, and the way each one feels attracted and called by God.
Fr. Barre did not found the schools. He inspired and trained the teachers and catechists to be sent where they were called all over his country, and changed the ethos so that these “little schools” became models of good educational practice for future generations worldwide.
Many times during the conversations in Paris, the meeting was linked to the ongoing worldwide Synod in the Universal Church calling us all to renewal and a future full of Hope.
