In Rouen, a memorial project dedicated to Nicolas Barré is underway in the monastery church where he lived, with the aim of raising awareness of his history and message.
The former convent of the Minimes de Saint François de Paule, located at the corner of Rue Bourg l'Abbé and Rue des Minimes, is now the monastery of the Benedictine Sisters of the Blessed Sacrament.
A permanent historical exhibition, in a side aisle of the church, is currently being created by an enthusiastic team of professionals and sisters. The monastery is steeped in an important and little-known chapter of Rouen's history. Since the beatification of Nicolas Barré, it has become a place of pilgrimage. In addition to its historical significance, the memorial will be an invitation to pilgrims and those who come to pray in this church to meditate on some of the texts of the Blessed Minim.
