Sometimes we’re asked the question:
What is your dream for the world ?
When looking at our Book of the Institute, I was once again drawn to B.I. N° 202:
To proclaim the Good news to the ‘simple and the poor’
To commit ourselves, wherever we may be, to the building of a more just world
To be challenged by the Gospel and the teaching of the Church, so that we may seek the justice that God wills
Search with others for ways to be in solidarity with the oppressed
Take action against the root causes of poverty…
In a recent book by Pope Francis: ‘A Good Life’ he says, ‘dream that you can make a change in the world. Dream that if you give your best, you can help make this world a different place’. Our present must be full of hope.
He continues to say:
‘Do not watch life go by from a balcony
Do not confuse happiness with a comfortable sofa and do not live your lives behind a screen.
Do not let yourselves go like sad abandoned vehicles
Do not be parked cars; let your dreams blossom and make strong decisions’
Live! Live your best lives!
