As the church of Saint-Germain where Nicolas Barré was baptised was no longer used for worship, we wanted to save the baptistery. It took three years and the perseverance by our Sisters of Providence to obtain all the legal authorisations and to transfer it to St Martin's church. A space was created to receive it and make it a place for pilgrims. It was inaugurated on 23 October by Mgr Gérard Le Stang, Bishop of Amiens, amidst a large congregation.
Liturgy
It also took three years to take the necessary steps to make the texts of the liturgy for the feast of Blessed Nicolas Barré official and universal, at the insistent request of the Minims. Until now, we have been using the texts of the Mass of his beatification. The texts decreed by the Congregation for Divine Worship at the Vatican are those of the Mass for Holy Educators.
