Infant Jesus Sisters stand in Solidarity

ree

Though not directly involved at the national organizational level, the Infant Jesus Sisters of Malaysia closely followed the events through media coverage. Their commitment to accompanying the faithful in Malaysia and beyond aligns with the event's vision of journeying together in hope. The participation and interest from various religious congregations and communities, like the Sisters, underlined the widespread support and synodal nature of this major gathering for the Asian Church.

The event, as reported in The Catholic Weekly Herald, served as a deeply spiritual moment for the delegates, combining prayer, catechesis, cultural celebrations, and shared stories of faith. It was a clear call for the Church in Asia to embrace humility, courage, and companionship as it walks the path of synodality, dialogue, and peacebuilding in the coming decade.

Our sisters in Malaysia explain : « We see this as an opportunity to participate in the way Synodality is lived at different levels of our life in Malaysia and other parts of Asia.  The follow-up of our General Chapter -2025 as reflected in the regional assemblies sharing the outocome of the Provincial Chapter, as a concrete expression of this call of the Church today. The celebration of the coming feast of the Incarnation of God-Son in the baby child Jesus this Christmas will be enriched with the reflection on the theme of this significant event in the Church in Asia  -  like the Magis who chose the different way ! »

Together with the whole Church, we continue our journey in the call to evangelize and share the Good News to all around us.
