Malaysia: Children's Schooling adapted to Health Conditions

As Malaysia is once again under a four-week lockdown since 12 May, all schools are closed and classes are being taught online by teachers. Unfortunately, many students, especially those from lower income groups who do not have the technology at home to go online, do not have access.

The students at our training centre in Kampung Pasir, Seremban, are in this situation and are suffering the consequences. Henrietta and Elizabeth Chong, the coordinator, have been looking for solutions. They have purchased and received additional computers from generous donors. Courses were offered to the children to help them become familiar with this tool. As strict sanitary measures have to be respected, different sessions are organised so that everyone has the opportunity to continue their education, despite the closure of the schools.
