Presence of the Holy Spirit

It is only when we welcome the presence of the Holy Spirit that we have the freedom,

courage and strength to proclaim through our lives and our actions that Christ is risen.

Within each of us, who are founded to be apostles, the gift of the Spirit rekindles the desire to be bearers of this Good News, to witness to and proclaim the Joy of the Gospel, even in difficult and incomprehensible situations. Then, through our words and our actions, others will be able to discover and to feel that they are loved by God, and that in them there is something worth saving: because the Holy Spirit is within each person!

                                                                                   (Extract from Pentecost Letter 2024)

‘We are called to become instruments of the Holy Spirit who is at work in us, in the people to whom we are sent and in their history’ B.I. 7

Nicolas Barré’s life was totally steeped in the presence of the Spirit. ‘The Pentecost season is a time to be possessed by the Holy Spirit, so show them how the Holy Spirit must take possession of them and how they must take possession of the Holy Spirit' (A.D.9/10).

'What the Spirit brings is: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, trustfulness, gentleness and self-control.  Since the Spirit is our life, let us be guided by the Spirit.' (Gal.5 22-26)

Prayer: Come Holy Spirit, fill us with your life and love so that we can reach out to others…
