From 21 to 25 November 2023 an assembly brought together an international group of 300 leaders of Institutes of religious women and men present in France, on the theme :
"Religious life in transformation
Before me you have opened a way Ps 30:9"
In a changing society, in which many institutions and "forms of life" are breaking down or collapsing, what transformations are we called to? A variety of speakers helped the assembly with their specific contributions, leading to many exchanges. Religious and lay theologians, professionals from different backgrounds and countries, helped us to go beyond simple adaptations to the present time.
A big mistake would be to run away from the reality that challenges us, instead of making difficulties our allies on the always risky but indispensable path of transformation to which the Gospel invites us. This is very much in the spirit of our founder: "Your disgrace can become a grace", he wrote to a person tormented by trials.
