Towards a More Synodical Church: Walking Together in Service of Our Charism

In response to the call of the Church regarding the Synod on Synodality, our Institute continues to deepen what it means to “walk together” in today’s world.
This synodal journey—grounded in mutual listening, communal discernment, and shared responsibility—echoes the pedagogy of Blessed Nicolas Barré. Since our origins, attentiveness to the Holy Spirit and our commitment alongside laity, Sisters, and Friends have guided our educational and social mission with the most vulnerable.
As Pope Leo XIV reminds us through his motto, “In Him alone, we are one”, unity and communion are not lived in isolation, but through sharing and mutual listening.
In our various provinces and communities, synodality takes shape every day through:
Attentive listening to the needs of young people and disadvantaged families.
Strengthened collaboration between Sisters and laity to bring our educational works to life.
Shared discernment to meet the new challenges of our societies with courage.
Together, let us continue to make our communities
spaces of dialogue, welcome, and hope,
where everyone finds their place in the mission of the Church.
