Walking Together to Bear Witness to the Gospel

Consecrated life must not be a withdrawal into oneself, but an instrument of sharing and service directed toward humanity: this is the message Leo XIV sought to convey during his recent audience with three religious communities at the Vatican.

This mission is embodied through constant intercession, where each community brings the joys and sorrows of today's world before the Lord. The Pope placed particular emphasis on synodality, which manifests through mutual listening and communal discernment aimed at seeking God's will together. In this way, religious life becomes a model for all the People of God, proving that missionary zeal lies primarily in a way of being and in how one lives out relationships. By balancing authority and obedience through dialogue, each congregation bears witness to the essential communal dimension of the path to holiness.
